About us & Our Mission

Who We Are

We are Inna, Dmytro, and Valeriia — a Ukrainian family who has always cared deeply about animals and supported shelters across the country

But this isn’t just a project for us — it’s a heartfelt mission rooted in our own story

Ten years ago, Odysseus, our beloved Maltese, became part of our family — and changed everything

He is our daily source of joy, love, and meaning. Through him, we’ve come to understand just how much light animals bring into our lives

Inspired by that bond, we began helping more actively — supporting private shelters with food, medicine, transportation, and care

And as the challenges around us grew, so did our determination to do more

🇺🇦 Why We Started This Fund

When the full-scale war began in Ukraine, the situation for animals worsened dramatically

Many shelters were destroyed or closed due to occupation. Others were forced to relocate

Thousands of animals were left behind — without homes, without food, without medical help — often under shelling, alone on the streets

We couldn’t just watch

We began helping rescuers in active war zones and supporting shelter owners who continue their work without any government assistance — only with love, strength, and tireless dedication

🐾 Who We Help :

🏠 Private Animal Shelters

We support small private shelters across Ukraine that receive no government funding

These shelters are constantly taking in new animals — dogs and cats left homeless by the war

They urgently need:

  • food (including specialized diets)

  • medicine and veterinary care

  • shelter repairs and winter insulation

  • transport and daily supplies

👵 Elderly People with Pets

Many elderly Ukrainians care for animals even while living on very limited resources

We help them by:

  • providing food and basic supplies,

  • covering the cost of medication,

  • arranging medical checkups and treatment.

For many of them, their pets are their only source of comfort and companionship — supporting them means supporting both lives

🚐 Volunteers and Animal Evacuators

We assist those who:

  • evacuate animals from war zones and occupied areas,

  • provide temporary shelter,

  • work hard to find new homes for displaced animals.

They need fuel, crates, medical kits, warm bedding — and constant support to keep going

💪 Why We Created Yasnytsia Fund

Our personal resources are no longer enough

That’s why we founded the Yasnytsia Charity Fund — a name that symbolizes clarity, light, and hope

Hope for animals that have been through unthinkable suffering and still fight to live

🌐 Why We Built This Website

This website is our next step

We created it to:

  • tell their stories

  • connect with people who care

  • raise the resources needed to save more lives

  • Even the smallest donation truly makes a difference

💬 What We Believe

We truly believe:

Together, we can save more lives

Because they are ours

Because they deserve to live

With love and hope,
Inna, Dmytro & Valeriia
